Discussion Veriton X275 BIOS. I was given this computer and even from the start the open chassis warning cam on but I'd click f1 and it would open to windows 7 and I could put in the password and work on it. Now even when I follow your instructions to get into bios it won't come up and won't take my password!! Help i really need to.
.Helpful resources.General rules. Follow. Keep it civil and on topic. I tried upgrading from windows 7 to 10 earlier today with the manual download but I had a problem with the install. The actual install had froze at 25% at 'copying files' at 84%.
The circle around the install percentage wasn't doing it's glowing and fading animation so I assume it froze. I waited an hour and then shut my computer off and turned it on to successfully rollback to w7. Everything is normal except the upgrade icon in the bottom right ISN'T THERE ANYMORE.I try using the media creation tool again and successfully get to installing it, but now it's stopped in exactly the same place while copying files and it's been an hour. Do I shut it off again? Will it unfreeze after another hour? What should I do if I roll back again? Please help.Title is supposed to be 'can't', sorry.
Typing from mobile due to problem. Yes, I'll join you guys. The funny Thing is that I can install Windows 10 with the exact same USb Stick seamlessly as a fresh install. First I just wanted to upgrade my Windows 7 and got stuck at 89% for about half an hour. Then I tryed it again and was stuck at mid 80% again.
So I wanted to go for a fresh install to see if my data on the USB was okay and it installed without a flaw. Next I thougt maybe my old Windows 7 was some Kind of broken so I installed Windows 7 and Updated to Service pack 1.
Trying to install Windows 10 again I got stuck at 85%Right now I'm going all the way from Windows 7 up to 8.1 and will try it again. I'll let you know if I had success.Good luck everyone!. I'm having the same issue. I've upgraded 2 systems from Win 7 Home and Win 8.1 Pro pretty flawlessly.
I have one more computer on Win 7 Pro I'm trying to upgrade. It gets to the black screen and the circle gets to 84% and on the bottom it says 'Configuring Settings 38%' and then stops.
The first time I reset it, it rolled back to Windows 7 and I had to start over. This time I'm letting it sit a lot longer and thought I'd check online. If this doesn't work, then I'll try the fix from the Dell forums, but so far this kinda sucks.
